Queens of the Stone Age at the Cotton Club, Atlanta, Ga May 27, 2003 by Craig Brumfield
I was fortunate to do a lot of album & promotional art for the band Eagles of Death Metal over the years and at some point around 2004 or 05 Jesse Hughes, the singer of the band, gifted me a bunch of QOTSA posters that he got from his partner in EODM, Josh Homme- also from the band QOTSA. They were mostly posters by EMEK, Jermaine Rogers & Justin Hampton, done as a collaboration for QOTSA's tour for Songs for the Deaf that ran from 2002-2004. Those artists collectively called this collaboration P.N.E. "Post Neo Explosionism". There were a handful of other artist's posters from the tour as well, from other cities- this is one of those. So this poster came from a pile of posters that Queens of the Stone Age / Josh Homme got from all the artists on that tour. This particular screen print is not signed or numbered however it is initialed C.B. and the style is unmistakeable as Craig Brumfield from another poster of his that I have. This poster is 8 colors and seems like either a test print or an artist's proof, like the artist was trying to figure his color scheme out or maybe testing the registration between different screens. 27.5" x 9"
