Description
This wonderful British Art Nouveau art pottery vase was made by Thomas Forester & Sons of Fenton, Staffordshire c. 1890. It features the raised bust of what might be a medieval troubadour surrounded by colorful flowers and gilded background. All three of the other sides have a mysterious tree-like figure surmounted by what might be a blue grey bat. The vase is square in plan sloped sides and square and baluster shaped. The edges and background is intermittently sprayed with flashes of gold, The vase is 9" tall and 6.5" square at the widest point. It is in very good condition except for one hairline crack that might be a firing crack (see our last photo)Stock Number SA2A-262
