    Description

    1 reel of 38 AWG (0.101mm), Nyleeze insulated enamel-type Magnet wire, standard thickness, made by Phelps-Dodge.
    REA Wire purchased Phelps-Dodge and the current equivalent insulation is called Nysol (see photos for charts and appearance).
    This reel is  approximately 5.7 lbs (2.59kg) and marked 5.25 lbs (2.39kg) Net.  It is NOS (new-old stock), and has been in storage for some time. See photos for condition. One edge of the plastic reel was broken above the wire, which is unharmed.
    Based on weight, this reel has approximately 101,000ft. (31,000m) of wire.  The Nyleze coating meets  NEMA MW80-C, Thermal Class 155C  See Nysol (current REA wire Trade name for the old Phelps-Dodge Nyleze product.  See sheet in photos for details.
